Ellerslie, GA, May 26, 2015, Chaplain Michael P. Dover, National Chaplain for Disabled American Veterans (DAV), has been recognized by Elite American Military for dedication, achievement and leadership in working with veterans.
Mr. Dover began his military career in the United States Army in 1981. He served for more than 20 years, retiring honorably in 2001 as a senior non-commissioned officer. After his retirement, Mr. Dover realized how many veterans were in need of guidance and hope, and he decided to serve as a spiritual adviser to the national commander, board of directors, national executive committee members and the 1.4 million members of the organization, as well as their families.
Mr. Dover works on developing and providing religious support activities to strengthen and sustain the spiritual resilience of veterans and family members, as well as provides religious support, spiritual care, comfort, and hope to all. He is very proud of being associated with an organization like DAV, which is dedicated to helping veterans and their families with various issues/problems. Mr. Dover aims to make sure that every veteran receives the benefits they deserve. He also wants to reduce the number of homeless veterans in the near future.
