Antonio Roman Burgos has been serving in the U.S. Army for the past 29 years. He completed the first sergeant major course in December 2010, and graduated in May 2011. Over the years, Mr. Roman Burgos held a variety of positions. In his current role as Senior Transportation Non-Commissioned Officer, he is responsible for overseeing the education of non-commissioned officers in the battalion, schools, daily operations for detachment teams and one quartermaster company encompassing 355 soldiers, as well as providing customer service for the transportation, chemical, munitions and movement sectors. Mr. Roman Burgos has been a major asset to the United States military. He is recognized for his courage, strength and intelligence, and has been honored with multiple accolades. Mr. Roman Burgos is a five-time recipient of the Meritorious Service Award from the U.S. Army, seven-time recipient of the Army Achievement Medal, four-time recipient of the Army Commendation Medal, and two-time recipient of the United Nations Medal from the U.S. Army. He attributes his success to his ability to share the importance of education and demonstrate to others their potential. Looking toward the future, Mr. Roman Burgos intends to retire to Raleigh, N.C., and enter the civilian transportation industry. Truly dedicated to serving others and an avid cyclist, Mr. Roman Burgos has been a team captain in the Five Boro Bike Tour in New York City for the last three years.
